15cm NW41 rocket launchers is one of the most frequent piece of artillery for Germans in Flames of War. Why? Well, it is cheap, it can destroy a tank by penetrating top armor and it can smoke. I have recieved to paint GE590 from my friend for his Early War German army. He wants to have ideally Germans close to Early period on muddy terrain with dust and tussock grass parts. Let's what I can do for him!
Step 1: Basing all figures and pasting rocket launchers together...
Some people like to paint figures separately. Do it how do you like it better. |
Let some space for rocket launcher. It may not fit later on! |
Step 2: Let's apply putty to bases!
Carefully apply putty on the base - use your launcher to make wheel trails, etc. |
Something like this... and wait 24 hours. |
Step 3: Let's basecoat with black spray!
Finished! |
This spray works for me fine... |
Step 4: Base colors painting.
Basic colors used for the whole unit. |
Most of the used colors during the painting. |
Step 5: Wash
After applying black wash you need to wait about 15-20 minutes. |
Step 6: Highlighting with dry brush.
Step 7: Applying grey pigmeng and grass with glue. Fixing launchers to the holes in terrain.
I prefer GF9 Green Grass and this glue for terrain. |
Adding pigment as requested by my friend. |
Step 8: Spraying with Matt Varnish. I am done again! Woot!
I love this can. It means I am finished! |
Lets see results. You can be done in 2 days. What do you think?
